Luggage courier for suitcases, student moves and lost property
Suitcases, boxes and forgotten belongings collected and delivered the same day, or at a set time, anywhere in mainland UK: university halls, hotels, cruise terminals, holiday homes and home addresses.
- Same day or at a set time
- Student halls and term-time moves
- Items left at hotels and venues

Luggage that needs to arrive today
Most luggage problems are about timing. A student is moving into halls in Leeds on Saturday and the boxes will not fit in the car. A family has arrived at a holiday cottage in the Lake District and one suitcase is still in the hallway at home. A conference speaker left a laptop bag at a Glasgow hotel and flies out tomorrow evening.
Our luggage courier service sends a dedicated vehicle to collect the bags and take them directly to the destination, the same day or at an agreed time. There is no depot and no sorting. You get live updates during the job and a signed proof of delivery when the luggage arrives.
Where we deliver luggage
We deliver luggage to any address in mainland UK (England, Scotland and Wales), and collect from anywhere in the same area. Typical destinations are university halls, hotels, cruise terminals and holiday homes, and the bags travel in a dedicated van straight to the address. Common destinations include:
- University halls and student houses, at the start and end of term.
- Hotels, ahead of a stay or after one, for guests and for events.
- Cruise terminals, such as Southampton, where the cruise line accepts luggage delivered on a passenger's behalf.
- Holiday homes and cottages, from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands.
We do not deliver to Northern Ireland or the Scottish islands as standard, so ask us if your destination is off the mainland. We do not offer airside services or airport check-in.
Student moves at the start and end of term
Term start brings a rush of suitcases, duvets, kitchen boxes and desk lamps heading to Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol and every other university city. At the end of the year the same belongings come home again, often at short notice once a room has to be cleared.
A small or SWB van usually takes one student's belongings. Halls usually have set move-in days and arrival slots, and some want deliveries made only when the student is there to sign, so check the accommodation office's rules and tell us when you book. Weekend moves are common, and our weekend courier service covers Saturdays and Sundays.
Before a student move
- Confirm the hall's move-in date, time slot and delivery rules
- Label every box with the student's name, building and room number
- Give us a mobile phone number for whoever will be at each end
- Keep passports, medication and valuables with the student, not in the van
Items left behind at hotels and venues
Forgotten belongings are a regular job: a suit bag left in a hotel wardrobe, a child's favourite toy at a holiday park, a coat after a wedding reception.
The hotel or venue must agree to release the item, and that is something you arrange with them. Contact the hotel, describe the item and confirm they will hand it to a courier. Ask whether they need an email or a reference, and which desk or entrance the driver should use. Then book the collection with us and give us those details. The driver collects from reception or the porter's desk and delivers it to you, the same day where the distance allows.

Packing and labelling luggage
A few simple steps make a courier collection easier:
- Close and secure every bag. Zips should be fully closed, and a luggage strap helps on an overfilled case.
- Label inside and out. Put the recipient's name, delivery address and mobile number on a sturdy tag, and the same details on a sheet inside the case.
- Remove old airline tags so nobody confuses the destination.
- Use proper boxes for loose items. Carrier bags and bin bags split; strong double-walled boxes do not.
- Keep valuables and documents with you. Passports, medication, cash and jewellery should travel with their owner.
If anything inside is valuable, tell us when booking. Goods in transit cover applies as standard, but cover limits and exclusions are set out in our terms; tell us the value and we will confirm cover, or arrange additional cover for high-value goods.
When a luggage parcel service may be cheaper
We will be straightforward about this. If you are sending one suitcase and it can arrive tomorrow or later, a luggage parcel service, which collects bags in bulk and delivers them over one or more days, may well cost less than a dedicated vehicle.
Our service is for luggage that needs to arrive today or at a set time, for several bags or boxes going to one address, and for belongings you would rather not send through a depot. For small, ordinary items, our same-day parcel courier service may also suit. Our guide comparing a dedicated courier with a parcel network explains the trade-off.
FAQ
Common questions
I left something in a hotel. Can you collect it?
Yes, once the hotel has agreed to release it. Contact the hotel first, describe the item and tell them a courier will collect it, giving our booking reference and the date. Ask whether they need anything in writing and which entrance the driver should use. Then book with us, and the driver will collect from reception or the porter's desk and deliver it to your chosen address.
Can you deliver luggage to a cruise terminal?
Yes, to UK mainland terminals such as Southampton, as long as the cruise line accepts luggage delivered by a third party and you know its drop-off rules. Most lines set luggage drop-off times and need their own baggage tags on each case. Check those with the cruise line before booking, and tell us the terminal, the ship and the drop-off window.
Is a same-day luggage courier more expensive than a luggage parcel service?
Usually, yes, for a single suitcase. Luggage parcel services collect bags in bulk and deliver them over a day or more, which keeps the price down. Our service sends a dedicated vehicle directly, so it suits luggage that must arrive today or at a set time, several bags or boxes going to one place, or belongings too valuable to pass through a depot.
Can you take luggage to an airport?
We can deliver to an address you give us, such as an airport hotel or a meeting point arranged with you, but we do not offer airside or check-in services, and we cannot check bags onto a flight for you. You will need to collect your luggage and check it in yourself in the normal way.
How should I label a suitcase for a courier?
Attach a strong luggage label with the recipient's full name, the delivery address and a mobile phone number, and put a second copy inside the case in case the outer tag is torn off. Remove old airline tags and barcodes so nobody is confused. For student halls, include the student's room number and the name of the building.
Can you collect from one address and deliver to someone else?
Yes. Many jobs are booked by a parent, an employer or an event organiser on someone else's behalf. Give us both contact names and phone numbers so the driver can reach whoever is at each end, and let the person at the collection address know a driver is coming.
