A county shaped by the M25
Surrey wraps around the south-west of London, and the M25 runs through it from Staines in the north-west to the Kent border near Oxted. Almost every Surrey business is within a few miles of a motorway junction, and most courier work here involves the M25 at some point, even on journeys between two Surrey towns.
Each booking gets its own van and driver, collecting from your address and heading directly to the delivery address. We allocate the nearest suitable vehicle when you book and confirm an estimated collection time based on how far away it is.
This page covers the county as a whole. Guildford, the largest town, has its own Guildford courier page, and two important neighbours just outside the county have theirs: Croydon, across the boundary in Greater London, and Crawley and Gatwick in West Sussex.
The county by corridor
North-west: Staines, Egham, Chertsey, Weybridge and Woking
The area between the M25 and M3 is Surrey's busiest commercial district. Staines-upon-Thames and Egham are close enough to Heathrow that many firms ship through it. Royal Holloway, part of the University of London, has its campus at Egham, and St Peter's Hospital serves the area from Chertsey. Brooklands at Weybridge, the former motor racing circuit, is now a business and leisure site. Woking combines a large office centre with high-performance engineering on its outskirts.
West: Camberley, Frimley and Farnham
Along the M3 at junctions 3 and 4, Camberley and Frimley have business parks, technology firms and Frimley Park Hospital. Farnham, on the A31 towards Hampshire, has offices, craft and creative businesses and a university for the creative arts.
The A3: Esher, Cobham, Godalming and Haslemere
The A3 runs from the M25 at Wisley through Guildford and Godalming to Hindhead, where it passes through a tunnel, and on to Portsmouth. The towns along it are a mix of offices, specialist retail and well-off residential areas, which means valuable private consignments as well as business ones. Antiques, artwork and furniture are often part of the mix; our large item courier page covers bulky and awkward pieces.
East: Epsom, Leatherhead, Reigate, Redhill and Horley
Epsom has the racecourse, Epsom Hospital and a cluster of offices. Leatherhead, at M25 junction 9, is a significant office town. Reigate and Redhill sit by junction 8 and the M23, with East Surrey Hospital in Redhill serving the east of the county. Horley is right on the edge of Gatwick, and many of its businesses work with the airport's landside forwarders and suppliers.
Gatwick and Heathrow from Surrey
Surrey sits between two of the country's largest airports. We deliver to forwarders, handling agents, hotels and offices on the landside at both. We do not operate airside.
Sectors that send the most
- Engineering and motorsport, around Woking, Weybridge and the M3, sending precise and valuable components.
- Research and healthcare, from the universities, hospitals and research parks, sending equipment and properly packaged samples.
- Events and leisure, including the racecourses at Epsom and Sandown Park, the Royal Horticultural Society's garden at Wisley, and conference venues across the county.
- Professional services and head offices, in Woking, Leatherhead, Reigate and Staines, sending documents and IT equipment.
Roads and pinch points
The M25 junctions with the most influence on Surrey journeys are 10 (the A3 at Wisley), 12 (the M3), 13 (Staines) and 8 (Reigate). The M23 branches south to Gatwick and Crawley at junction 7, near Merstham. The M3 carries traffic south-west through the county towards Basingstoke and Southampton, and the A3 is the main route for Guildford and Portsmouth.
The M25 between junctions 10 and 16 is busy for much of the day, and an incident there affects the whole of north Surrey. Reigate Hill and the A24 near Dorking are slow at peak times. In the Surrey Hills, narrow lanes, cyclists at weekends and few passing places slow everything down.

FAQ
Common questions
We are in a village in the Surrey Hills. Can a van reach us?
Yes. We collect from every address in mainland UK, including rural ones. Lanes around Dorking, Shere, Peaslake and Leith Hill are narrow and steep, with few places to turn, so tell us about any access limits, low branches or weight restrictions, and give a postcode plus a description of the entrance. For a farm or a house with a long drive, a smaller van is often easier than a Luton.
Can you bring stand materials to an event at Sandown Park or Epsom Downs?
Yes. Racecourses that host conferences and exhibitions on non-race days run timed deliveries through their own service entrances, so send us the organiser's delivery schedule, the hall or suite name and your exhibitor reference. On race days, access is far tighter. Our events and exhibitions courier page covers build-day and breakdown deliveries in more detail.
Our engineering firm in Woking needs a part at a supplier in Milton Keynes today. Is that realistic?
Yes. Milton Keynes is about 65 miles from Woking via the M25 and M1, so a morning collection reaches it comfortably within the working day, and an early-afternoon one usually does too. Tell us the part's dimensions, weight and whether it is delicate, so the driver can secure it properly. For precision components, a dedicated van is safer than a parcel network because the part is handled only at each end.
Can you set up a daily sample run from a Surrey clinic to a laboratory in London?
Yes. A regular run is booked once with agreed collection points and times, and then happens without a call each day. Your team packs the samples before the driver arrives (P650 triple packaging for UN3373 consignments), and anything that must stay cold travels in a refrigerated van. The medical and pharmaceutical courier page explains how clinical consignments are handled.
Can you collect from my home in Surrey and deliver to a relative in Scotland the same day?
Yes, for most of mainland Scotland. Edinburgh or Glasgow is a long day's drive from Surrey, well over 400 miles, so an early collection matters. Drivers' hours rules limit a van driver to 10 hours of driving a day, which means the furthest destinations, or a route that needs the van back the same day, may need two drivers sharing the wheel or a stop overnight. You will know which before you commit.
